What a Fun Story
What a fun story. After the first chapter I was hooked. The characters are fun and easy to love. The storyline is fantastic as it's a twist on My Fair Lady. I admit I was skeptical at first but Nancy pulled it off. There were twisted I didn't see coming this time around. I couldn't put the book down. It's fun to watch the growth of Jack and Ivy. It's a wonderful, clean story that I would recommend to any and everyone with love for a good romance. *A copy was provided by the publisher in exchange for an unbiased review.

A Twist Better than the Classic
I like Regency books, for the most part, I do. And I am especially glad to have run across the "Proper Romance" series because I like knowing the book I pick up is going to be clean and fun and well written. When I heard that this book was going to be a twist on the movie "My Fair Lady," I just couldn't pass it up. I have to say that Nancy Campbell Allen far exceeded my expectations in every area: Beautiful Regency with all a reader might expect, yet with a slight twist that freshens the setting for me. A perfect "Proper Romance" with fabulous flirting and heart-thumping falling in love. The twist on "My Fair Lady" was such that I like it so much more than the original! Specific things I liked in the book--the humor at the first soiree and the absurd (but serious) introduction. I liked Miss Manners' tips at the beginning of each chapter and found myself rereading each after I completed the chapter so I could see how it applied. Also, the author gave each character a very distinct voice, which was a pleasure to read. Overall, a fabulous read I can't wait to reread again and again!
