The Reformation of Lady Elinor is a historical adventure/ romance that takes place in England, Italy, and Germany during the Reformation years of 1535–36. Despite the impending fall of the Catholic Church’s grip over Europe, our heroine— Lady Elinor—is determined to remain faithful to the Pope. She has a daughter, blind from birth, named Margery. Elinor’s goal is to complete a pilgrimage to Rome to pray over the bones of St. Peter so that her daughter’s blindness will be healed. The story’s hero, Sir Garrett Bloxham, a former Catholic priest, is a wealthy merchant determined to help reform the Church. Lady Elinor and Sir Bloxham’s lives become intertwined and a romance develops. The story paints a vivid picture of the Reformation and the kinds of personalities produced during that period
