Product Description: In the April 2018 general conference, President Russell M. Nelson revealed the next step in hastening the Lord’s work. Since that day, the word ministering has been on the lips of every Latter-day Saint. Every aspect of how we serve in Christ’s Church will be impacted by the call to love as He loves. The Missing Lesson: Helping Our Children Grow in Charity answers the questions, “How do we apply the concept of ministering in our families? How do we raise up a new generation that is ready to embrace a higher manner of discipleship?” Every child needs to have a solid foundation from which ministering—using charity as the motivating force for all we do—can grow and be nurtured. In building and maintaining this foundation, parents must do the following for their children:
• Create an emotionally, physically, and spiritually safe
environment
• Teach and promote the concept of boundaries
• Teach the important role of emotions and promote healthy
ways to regulate emotions
• Remember that as parents, we are the facilitators of helping
our children create a real and intimate relationship with God
This book will offer real-life examples, methods, and applications for teaching children these crucial lessons.
