I have long admired and appreciated the work of Hugh Nibley. Now the best of Nibley's best is available to us in one volume. Thanks to the efforts of Marvin Van Dam it is not too much, it is not too little, but it is just right--a must have for every serious gospel student.

I like Nibley but have never really delved into his writings. This book really is an interesting introduction and eye opener to many things about the gospel, and christian and church history. I found many things to think about that hadn't ever occurred to me before. Lots of information to make clearer, things I had heard or learned before and now understand better. I think he is a most interesting man, he knows so much and is amazing in the things he has studied and found out for his self and then shared with the rest of the world. I'm so glad that he was as prolific a researcher, student of religion and scriptures, and writer, as he was, before he left this plane for higher planes. I plan to read this again, slowly this time so that I can take in the information better to grasp it all with greater understanding. I absolutely loved this book.
