About the Author: After graduating from Duke Law School in 2007 and beginning his career as an attorney at a large international law firm in Houston, Sean Nobmann has run his own law firm for the past six years. While at Duke, Sean was the first LDS graduate student to successfully apply for an exemption from Sunday camping for Duke’s famed Graduate Student Campout for basketball tickets. LDS graduate students continue to use that exemption annually. Sean was also the International Student Chair of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society his final year at Duke. A graduate in English from Brigham Young University, Mr. Nobmann worked as a teacher and supervisor at the Missionary Training Center for four years. Additionally, he taught at Broadview University for three years, overseeing the school’s paralegal program for the Western Region during two of those years. In addition to running his law firm, Mr. Nobmann also currently teaches online writing courses for BYU–Idaho’s Pathways Program.
