“Why? Why? Why?” shouts Moroni “Ronnie” Clah on the day of his sister’s funeral. Just two years ago, both of their parents died in a car accident, and now Rachel is gone too.
Vowing to take revenge on the gangster who killed her, Ronnie joins a rival gang. Yet at the moment of truth, he can’t pull the trigger. In failing to take a life, he puts his own in jeopardy. His only choice is to leave California behind.
But running away isn’t as easy as it seems. When Ronnie finally reaches the Arizona desert, a massive flood engulfs his truck. He is rescued by a man in a boat—a man wearing very strange clothing.
The man is a Lamanite named Zelph. The year is 400 AD.
About the Author:
Kristoffer Neff first took an interest in writing as a sophomore in high school, but he didn’t see himself as an author until he won a short-story contest while living in Utah. He writes whenever he can find a spare moment, which sometimes amounts to a only a few hours a week since he operates his own business. His first novel was No Place to Hide (2010, Granite Publishing).
The idea for Home of the Brave, which is based on the parable of the prodigal son, came to Kristoffer one afternoon while he played with his young sons. He and his beautiful wife, Melanie, live in Arizona and have four children.
