About Author: Mike Collins grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, and currently resides in Brigham City, Utah. He attended Brigham Young University, where he met his future wife. Mike received a degree in industrial design from Arizona State University. In his work as an industrial designer, he designs furniture, sporting goods, and other consumer products for customers such as Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Costco, and Sam’s Club. Mike and his wife, Julie, have five children. His hobbies include cycling, fishing, and running in the mountains with his border collie, Jazz. Mike and Julie play in a bluegrass band; he plays banjo and mandolin, while she plays fiddle. Mike served a mission in Central America, has served in many Church callings, and currently teaches gospel doctrine class in his ward. Mike’s first activity book, New Testament Activities for LDS Kids Ages 8 to 11, was released in January 2019.
