About Product: Grand Canyon National Park is the 15th oldest park in the United States. Located in northwestern Arizona, the park's central feature is the Grand Canyon, a gorge of the Colorado River. The Grand Canyon is considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
This painting depicts the south rim of the Grand Canyon in the late afternoon, when the canyon walls are bathed in the unforgettable orange colors that have captured the heart of so many visitors. This image captures the relaxed feeling of a National Parks summer vacation and features many notable South Rim landmarks, including Bright Angel Lodge, The El Tovar Hotel, and the Desert View Watchtower to East, and of course, the Grand Canyon Railway.
Grand Canyon is part of our National Parks Series and is one of the paintings included in our Dowdle Doodles - National Parks coloring book.
As part of the 2016 National Park Service Centennial, Dowdle Folk Art encourages you to learn more about Grand Canyon National Park.
