About the Product: When Brigham Young summons young Morgan Davis to his office and calls him to join other missionaries in settling the Muddy River Valley (what is now Nevada), Morgan can’t imagine what lies in store. He has just two weeks to find a wife and gather enough belongings to help start a settlement. As Morgan and his new bride, Angeline, travel the long trail south in a covered wagon, they fall in love and connect with the other Saints. But the desert location on the Muddy River soon becomes a physical and emotional test for all of them. Together they face difficult requests from Church leaders, multiple failed attempts to settle, deaths of loved ones, and then perhaps the ultimate challenge—polygamy. What do stalwart members do when faced with conflicting feelings between what their hearts tell them and the hard instructions from Salt Lake City? Morgan and Angeline are about to find out.

“MUDDY”
This book was captivating and so well written! I could hardly put the book down and could hardly wait to see what would happen next. The questions they asked and the self searching of their souls is really not so different than each of us ask every day. I liked the references of looking beyond our own understanding and learning to bow our will and learn to listen to his direction and his voice. Then as I have experienced many times myself, miracles can and really do happen. I can hardly wait to read his next book “River”!

'Muddy, Book 1: Where Faith and Polygamy Collide'
Wow! I felt like a literal time traveler, personally transported in time to the early colonization period of our pioneer fore bearers. I have often contemplated the difficulty of being asked to practice polygamy. How would I respond and would my faith enable me to be obedient. "Muddy' captures the sentiments and hardships of this period in Church history. The whole narrative of 'Muddy' embraces the principle that "Obedience brings blessings, but perfect obedience brings miracles."
