About Product: What kind of life preparation does the Lord give the men He will one day call to be prophet? And what are the lessons to be learned from such a life?
"Each prophet's mortal schooling is singular," writes author Sheri Dew. "In studying a prophet's life, we see how the Lord molds, prepares, and tutors a man so that at the appointed hour, he is able, worthy, and ready to be His mouthpiece and to lead His people."
Insights from a Prophet's Life offers a candid view of President Russell M. Nelson, the seventeenth President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, from childhood to the current day. More than a biography, this landmark volume invites readers to experience President Nelson's life through dozens of brief vignettes and hundreds of photographs. Each episode highlights an important lesson; taken together, they weave a captivating story of a man prepared in a unique way to lead the Church in our day.
"The attempt of this book," the author writes, "is not only to highlight signal events in President Nelson's life . . . but, in particular, to examine major episodes from the life of the living prophet and extract the insights embedded in them. Some of these episodes in President Nelson's life took place in a matter of minutes or hours; others spanned several years. I selected each episode either because he learned something or because we can learn something from him, or both. . . . Impressions, thoughts, learnings, and insights will vary with each person. Personal revelation is just that—personal. That you will learn from President Russell M. Nelson's life, though, is a given. It is certain."

Fantastic & Inspirational
This book was so inspirational. I could hardly put it down. I love the way Sheri Dew writes. I have loved Pres. Nelson ever since he was first in the Quorum of the Twelve. There were so few of the General Authorities who ever smiled in General Conference and he did. After all it is the GOOD NEWS of the Gospel they are talking about. He has such a sweet, kind, loving way about him. He is so intelligent and I am so happy he is our prophet today.

Insights from a Prophet’s Life: Russell M. Nelson
This was a great book! It was interesting to see how his thoughts were influenced at a very young age to search for truth and knowledge. I enjoyed watching him make decisions and learn. I felt his genuine love for people and keenly felt his sorrow as he was unable to save some of his patients. It showed in retrospect how his life has been effected, indeed how he was groomed by God to be a prophet and great example for us. May we all look back at or own lives and see how Gods hand has influenced our lives and been a blessing to us. Thank you sister Dew for the wonderful stories and insights into his life
